“Vax-Unvax: Let the Science Speak” — the new book by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Brian Hooker, Ph.D. — summarizes in lay terms about 60 studies conducted prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, and another 30 studies conducted during the pandemic that compared health outcomes between vaccinated and unvaccinated subjects.

Only 10 days after its release, “Vax-Unvax: Let the Science Speak,” — the new book by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Brian Hooker, Ph.D. — ranked No. 11 on The New York Times Best Sellers list.

Published Aug. 29, “Vax-Unvax” summarizes in lay terms about 60 studies conducted prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, and another 30 studies conducted during the pandemic, that compared health outcomes between vaccinated and unvaccinated subjects.

Kennedy is Children Health’s Defense (CHD) founder and chairman on leave. Hooker is CHD’s chief scientific officer.

The Times’ ranking reflects the unit sales of a book as reported confidentially by a “comprehensive” network of book vendors across the U.S.

Commenting on the news, Kennedy tweeted:

Hooker told The Defender, “I couldn’t be happier about the exposure this important book is getting. The New York Times ranking is simply overwhelming.”

‘Studies were hiding in plain sight’

“Vax-Unvax” reports on the studies the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) “refused to do,” Hooker wrote in an article about why he and Kennedy undertook the project.

According to Hooker, the CDC has the ability to compare vaccinated versus unvaccinated children using its private database, the Vaccine Safety Datalink (VSD).

VSD holds records from more than 10 million people — including 2 million children, some of whom are unvaccinated.

“Yet the CDC has never compared the health outcomes of vaccinated children to completely unvaccinated children, and the agency won’t give independent researchers access to the VSD to complete such a study,” Hooker said.

So he and Kennedy worked together to produce a compendium of studies, Hooker added.

In an interview on the Kim Iversen Show, Hooker said when in 2019 he began reviewing the scientific literature for vaccinated vs. unvaccinated comparison studies, he anticipated that data on the subject would be difficult to find since the CDC had refused to sponsor such investigations.

But “lo and behold … there were studies hiding in plain sight,” he told Iversen.

Hooker made clear that he and Kennedy steered clear of giving medical advice in the book.

Their purpose was to “distill down the science,” he said, particularly around adverse events, long-term harm and the chronic disorders that can follow vaccination.

For instance, a key takeaway from the book came from comparing children who had received all the shots on the CDC’s schedule of recommended childhood vaccines to those who were unvaccinated or were unvaccinated only during the first year of life.

“Overwhelmingly the unvaccinated children were much healthier in terms of chronic illnesses, ailments as well as infectious disease,” Hooker told Iversen.

“And so to me, that was a very, very stark contrast because vaccination has been a part of the fabric of society in the United States for a very, very long time,” he added.

In some studies, he said, children who got all the vaccines on the schedule had more respiratory infections, more pneumonia and more ear infections.

Another key takeaway of the book is the “extreme nature” of injuries associated with the COVID-19 vaccine, Hooker told Iversen.

The book highlights more than 30 studies showing “strong, significant relationships” between the COVID-19 vaccine and myocarditis, pericarditis, Bell’s palsy, shingles and other cardiac and neurological disorders.

COVID vaccines and pregnancy

Because the regulatory agencies recommended the COVID-19 vaccine to pregnant women without any supporting data, the book also addresses that topic, Hooker said.

Marianne Skolek-Perez, who reviewed the book for The Washington Standard, said she was “particularly intrigued” by this section of the book.

Skolek-Perez, whose daughter died after being prescribed OxyContin, has written at length about the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) culpability in the opioid epidemic. She said “Vax-Unvax” contained “very eye-opening” information about the COVID-19 vaccines and pregnancy.

For instance, she said, although pregnant women were encouraged to get COVID-19 vaccines, the Pfizer package insert states that available data is insufficient to inform vaccine-associated risks in pregnancy.

“The FDA-approved Moderna COVID-19 vaccine provides an identical disclosure. Pfizer and Moderna did not conduct any clinical trials for pregnant women,” she said.

Skolek-Perez encouraged people to read the book to “thoroughly understand not just the present, but the future outcome of the repercussions of these vaccines on pregnancy.”
