India recorded 1.86 lakh new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the lowest daily spike in nearly 40 days. The country’s active caseload has further declined to 23,43,152, while the recovery rate increased to 90.34 per cent, as per the Union health ministry’s data released on Friday morning.
On India Today’s special show News Today with Rajdeep Sardesai, Dr Shankara Chetty said, “Mild infections tend to develop good immunity, vaccines on large scale are not going to develop herd immunity.”
